The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) serves as the principal law enforcement agency charged with maintaining peace and order in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. Before its establishment on January 1, 1960, law enforcement in the Federation was managed by the Antigua-based "B" Division of the Leeward Island Police Force, which was responsible for upholding law and order in various territories, including St. Kitts – Nevis and Anguilla.

In 1966, in recognition of the exceptional services rendered during her visit to the then colony of St. Kitts – Nevis – Anguilla, the late Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II conferred the prestigious "Royal" title upon the St. Christopher, Nevis, & Anguilla Police Force. Following the separation of Anguilla from the Associate State of St. Kitts – Nevis – Anguilla, the force adopted the name "Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force."

The RSCNPF's multifaceted national mandate encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including crime prevention, investigation, traffic management, community engagement, and maintaining public safety. Committed to continuous improvement and professional development, the RSCNPF has adapted to the evolving landscape of crime and security challenges, consistently investing in training programs, technology, and resources to enhance its capabilities and effectiveness.

Through collaboration with local communities, government agencies, and international partners, the Force works diligently to ensure a safe and secure environment for all residents and visitors while fostering strong relationships of trust within the community. As a cornerstone of the justice system in St. Kitts and Nevis, the RSCNPF remains dedicated to its mission of safeguarding lives and property, upholding the law, and promoting peace and harmony throughout the Federation.
