James Sutton currently holds the position of Commissioner of Police (COP) for the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force. His journey in law enforcement began in July 1987, with his initial training in December of the same year. This was followed by a posting in the Dieppe Bay/Tabernacle District until 1994, when he was reassigned to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Basseterre. In his relentless pursuit of excellence, COP Sutton embarked on a professional development journey that included attending a two-week Crime Scene Management Course at the Regional Police Training School in Barbados in 1995. His dedication to enhancing his investigative skills led him to complete both the introductory and advanced Narcotic Investigator courses at REDTRAC in 1999 and 2000, respectively. Recognizing his exemplary performance and commitment, COP Sutton was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2000. In 2017, James assumed the role of Deputy Commandant of District B and manager of CID "B" after his transfer from the WCCU. Continuing his upward trajectory, he was reassigned to the Professional Standards Department in 2019 before being promoted to Superintendent in 2020 and transferred to the Nevis Division. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Andre Nicholas Mitchell is a dedicated Police Officer hailing from Guyana. He joined the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force on October 21, 1991, and has since made significant contributions to law enforcement. Starting as a Constable, Andre progressed through the ranks serving as a Corporal, Sergeant, Inspector, and eventually reaching the position of Superintendent of Police. Currently, he serves as the Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibility for the Crime Directorate.   Mitchell’s educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Summa Cum Laude honours, focusing on Human Resource Management. He has also acquired several certifications in specialized areas such as Financial Investigation, Drug Interdiction, and Homicide Investigations.   Mitchell is an active member of the International Homicide Investigators Association (IHIA) and has been involved in various committees and initiatives focused on enhancing law enforcement practices. He has served on the St. Kitts and Nevis National Commission on Marijuana, the Criminal Records Rehabilitation of Offenders

Committee, and the Partnership of the Caribbean and European Union on Justice (PACE Justice) Committee.   With a wealth of experience, a strong educational background, and a passion for justice, Mitchell continues to be a key figure in maintaining law and order in St. Kitts and Nevis.
